What you test is what trades.
Build your rules from drag-and-drop blocks. Backtest them on M1 bars built from real tick data, with the costs you set. Then run the same Flow, on the same engine, on your MT5 account.

- Why does my strategy look great in backtest but lose live? Many testing tools ignore costs, or use a different engine when the strategy runs live. Flow Builder backtests on M1 bars built from real tick data and charges spread, plus the commission and slippage you set, on every trade. Run live uses the same engine.
- I can't code MQL5. Can I still automate my rules?Yes. A Flow has 5 fixed steps, from Entry signal to Exit. You pick nodes and fill in their settings. Read as text then spells out the whole Flow in plain words, so you can check it does what you mean.
- An EA you buy is a black box. Can I see why each trade gets taken?Yes. After a backtest, each node shows how many times it let the Flow through and how many times it stopped it. Select a trade to see its path on the canvas. Days without a trade shows where the Flow stopped each day, and why.
How Flow Builder works
- 1Start from a templateOpen Flow Builder, select + New Workflow and check the Symbol field. Pick a template, or Start from scratch with safe defaults. Every template opens on the canvas, and you can edit all of it.
- 2Set your rules, step by stepDrag nodes into the 5 steps, from Entry signal to Exit, and fill in each node's settings. Save, and keep going until the toolbar shows ✓ Ready to test.
- 3Backtest with your costsIn ⚙ Settings, pick the period and starting balance. Keep the spread recorded in the data or set a fixed one. Enter your commission and slippage, then click Run backtest.
- 4Read the resultsLook at the drawdown and the worst days, not just the net result. Follow any trade on the chart and on the canvas. Change one thing, save, test again.
- 5Run it on your MT5Pick your account (EA connected) and its symbol, fix anything the checks flag, then click Run live. Start on DEMO. You can stop at any time and keep the position or close all.
What you get in Flow Builder
- One engine, checked trade for tradeBacktest and Run live share one runner. Our replay test runs the live path on recorded bars against a simulated broker, and its trades must match the backtest's one for one, even after restarts.
- M1 bars built from real tick dataBacktests run on PipLoop's real tick data, built into M1 bars. Pending orders, SL and TP are checked on every M1 bar, even when the Flow trades H1.
- Costs you controlSpread is the median recorded in the tick data, or a fixed value. Commission and slippage start at 0, so enter your broker's. SL and TP hit in the same bar? The SL counts.
- Rules you can readRead as text writes out the whole Flow in plain words. Every time you save, the Flow checks itself. After a backtest, each node shows how often it let the Flow through and how often it blocked it.
- Protection built inSL by range, distance or ATR. TP by R, break-even, trailing stop. Risk checks such as Daily loss lock, Cooldown after loss and Kill switch.
- Checks before it runsRun live won't start without the EA, with a symbol the account doesn't have, or with a server-time mismatch. It warns you when the spread is above the backtest's. On a REAL account, you have to type REAL.
You keep your money, your password and the off switch.
- We never touch your moneyDeposits and withdrawals happen at the broker you chose. PipLoop doesn't receive, hold or move your money.
- No broker passwordYou connect with an EA key pasted into your MT5. PipLoop never asks for your broker account password.
- The off switch is yoursTurn AutoDrive off or stop a Flow at any time, from your phone too, and choose to keep or close all positions. To cut the link completely, revoke the key in Settings or remove the EA from MT5.
- Practise on a DEMO accountWe recommend practising on a DEMO account: real market prices, no real money.

Questions about Flow Builder
The decisions should. The same Flow runs on the same engine, and a replay test checks it trade for trade. Fills can differ: live uses your broker's prices, buy stops trigger on the Ask, slippage is real, and bar closes missed while the EA is offline aren't traded late. Live P/L is read from your MT5 deals.
From PipLoop's real tick data, built into M1 bars. Each Flow backtests one symbol, and the app tells you if PipLoop has no tick data for it yet. On Run live, the Flow trades the symbol you pick from your own account.
Your MT5 does, your browser doesn't. The Flow's decisions run on the PipLoop server, but orders go through the EA in your MT5 terminal, so MT5 has to keep running. Many traders use a VPS for that. A running Flow still needs watching: check Activity, and stop it when the market or your plan changes.
No. A Flow manages only the orders and positions it placed. AutoDrive leaves them alone, and Chart Workspace tags them Flow · name and asks before you close one by hand. For now, a Flow trades one symbol and holds one position (or one pair of pending orders). Run live warns you when other trades share the account.
Yes. A Flow that starts with Webhook alert acts on every buy or sell alert sent to its Webhook URL, so keep that URL secret. Alert Flows can't be backtested, since there's no alert history. While the Flow runs on a DEMO account, try it with Test buy and Test sell.
No. A backtest is a simulation, designed with the benefit of hindsight. Set realistic costs, look at the drawdown and the worst days, and practise on DEMO before you use a real account. On a REAL account, Run live asks you to type REAL first.
Build your rules, backtest them with costs, then run the same Flow on your MT5.
