Troubleshooting connection states
This page lists the connection statuses PipLoop shows for your MT5 account. For each one you will know what it means and the step that helps.
How the connection works
Section titled “How the connection works”Your MT5 terminal runs the PipLoop EA on one chart and two PipLoop Services in the background. Together they keep a link to PipLoop. If MT5 closes, the computer sleeps or the internet drops, the link drops too, and the EA reconnects by itself once it can. A lost broker connection in MT5 does not break the link to PipLoop.
Account status
Section titled “Account status”These show in Settings → MT5 Connection, next to each account, and at the bottom of the left sidebar. While no account is connected, the sidebar line opens Settings → MT5 Connection.

AutoDrive status
Section titled “AutoDrive status”AutoDrive shows one status (a dot with a short label; select it for details) and a main switch.

| AutoDrive restarting | Reconnecting to MT5, then re-checking positions and earlier requests. | Wait for “Restart complete · automatic entries resumed.” |
| AutoDrive restart needs attention | The restart could not finish. The line by the switch says why. | Do the step it names, then press RESTART again. |

The main switch shows one word:
- ON / OFF: automatic entries are running or paused.
- RESTART: AutoDrive is stuck. Press it to reconnect to MT5 and re-check the account.
- RESTART… / SYNC…: a restart or a check is running. Wait.
- WAIT: the EA is holding new entries for a reason. Point at the switch to read it.
- CHECK: PipLoop has not read the switch from the EA yet. Wait.
Still stuck
Section titled “Still stuck”Never place a manual order to make up for one that is not confirmed yet: PipLoop keeps checking the original request. Email [email protected] with the exact status text or code you see.
